The staff and volunteers at the Humane Society of Pikes Peak Region found a fun way to celebrate empty kennels—by jumping in themselves!

In the last two weeks of December, the shelter emptied all of their dog kennels not once, but twice! And in a historic first for the shelter, they emptied all of their cat kennels too!

All told, the Shelter’s two week December promotion resulted in 193 cats and 185 dogs getting adopted and a whopping 10,785 pets adopted for the entire year!

If you’re in the Colorado Springs area and thinking about getting a pet, consider the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region!
